Hi! My name is Justin Liu, and I am a senior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. My interest in material science began with my table tennis journey. As a national-level table tennis player consistently ranking among the top 16 players in my age group, I have always loved trading paddles with friends and testing different equipment. While I could feel the differences between the various rubbers and blades, it was only when I took my first physics class in my sophomore year that I began to understand the science behind my observations and began investigating paddle-ball dynamics and how different materials affected one of my greatest passions.
This blog will be a place for me to explore material science, share my findings and discoveries, and build a deeper understanding of why the world around me is built the way that it is!
