My friends from COSMOS saw me working on this blog, and one of them pointed out how every post starts with the word “today,” so I’m starting with this sentence just so it’s different. Anyway, today was just a free day, so I took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in, as well as to do my laundry. Before and after lunch, my friends and I also had study sessions in the dorms’ study rooms, so I took the time to review this week’s lecture slides and annotated them with any additional informations from my notes.
In the evening, since the weather was finally below the 90s, we went outside for some fresh air and explored parts of the campus that we haven’t been to, such as the recreation field and the aquatics center. We wanted to go to Yosemite Lake, which is a 30-minute walk from campus, but we needed a RA to take us, so we followed another cluster that just so happened to plan to visit the lake that same day. The breeze was super comfortable as we walked on the pier and along the shoreline, and it was nice to relax in nature and escape the concrete forest that is the UC Merced campus.
